Frederik L. Schodt (AKA "Fred," or "Moi") is an American translator, conference interpreter, and award-winning writer in the San Francisco Bay Area. He specializes mainly in currents of thought flowing between Japan and North America. Feel free to wander in this site. It's fairly deep. You can refer to subjects in the header of each page. You can click below to see enlarged covers of Fred's own books (BLUE-ish background) by theme category, and also for select book and manga translations (RED-ish background).  Also included (GREEN-ish background) are a book of Fred's father's childhood stories, as well as a translated collection of short stories by his novelist father-in-law (known variously under the pen names of 徐訏, "Xu Xu," or "Hsu Yu," but born 徐伯訏--"Xu Boxu.") . You can also have fun exploring the full site with Google Search in the footer.
